Chapter 02 — Loos, then Lille, from 2018 to today

From commerce to the web.

I didn't start with the web: I started with a vocational baccalaureate in Commerce, then moved into marketing and digital communication. The web showed up along the way, and it stayed.

A vocational baccalaureate in Commerce

It all starts in Loos, at Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur, with a Bac Pro in Commerce, from 2018 to 2020.

Efficom, in Lille

Then Efficom, in Lille. First a Bachelor's (Bac+3) in marketing and digital communication, from 2020 to 2023. Then a Master's (Bac+5) in the same field, from 2024 to 2026.

The web, along the way

In November 2022, I became a web designer and developer at WaterRower, in Tourcoing: a real site, followed across more than 600,000 sessions a year. The rest is in the next chapter.

What made me switch to the web

Marketing and digital communication led me to the web. It was by working on a real website, at WaterRower, that the web became my job.

Chapter 03 — Tourcoing, from November 2022 to October 2024

WaterRower: the website of a premium brand.

WaterRower (NOHRD) makes premium fitness equipment. From November 2022 to October 2024, in Tourcoing, I was the web designer and developer of its website, waterrower.fr.

Learning by building

I learned HTML, CSS and JavaScript by applying them: designing, customizing and maintaining web pages, with real front-end development experience.

The site, end to end

I managed and improved waterrower.fr end to end: restructuring the navigation (−20% drop-off rate on product pages), speeding up pages, making sure everything looked right on every device.

Testing to know

I built and managed more than 30 product and transactional pages on Magento. Layouts were A/B tested: you don't guess what works, you measure it.

    add-to-cart rate

  • +12%

Measuring, every month

I tracked more than 600,000 sessions a year with Google Analytics and Hotjar, and delivered a monthly performance report with concrete recommendations for stakeholders.

To set the site's roadmap and quarterly OKRs, I gathered requirements in more than ten interviews with those same stakeholders.

From zero to live in 8 weeks.

I led yafit-studios.com from start to finish: scoping workshops, user stories, functional then visual mockups in Figma, and development on Webflow. More than 5,000 visits in the first month.

What I learned at WaterRower

WaterRower is my first real website: real visitors and numbers to read every month. Yafit showed me the whole path, from the scoping workshop to launch, in eight weeks.

Chapter 04 — Roubaix, from September 2024 to September 2026

Sofinco: fifteen million visitors a year.

Sofinco is part of CA Consumer Finance, inside the Crédit Agricole group. Its website, sofinco.fr, gets more than fifteen million visitors a year. For two years, I was its webmaster and its Product Owner.

Keeping the house standing

A site this size needs daily upkeep: content to update, pages to build and consistency to keep across more than 600 pages, all living in the Jahia CMS.

When a page needed more than text, I went into code: HTML and CSS to bring in images, video and Lottie animations.

Rebuilding the house

Then came the redesign, which I led end to end: reviewing the content of more than 600 pages, rethinking the information architecture, optimizing SEO, refreshing the design.

Within six months, organic traffic was up 30% and the bounce rate was down 18%.

Watching what people actually do

Redesigning a site is one thing. Knowing what people do on it is better. I analyzed more than 500,000 sessions a month on the credit journeys with Google Analytics, ContentSquare and Eulerian: conversion funnels, heatmaps, multi-touch attribution.

I spotted more than fifteen friction points. Once they were fixed, the conversion rate rose by 22%.

Fast, and solid everywhere

Average load time went from 4.2 to 2.1 seconds.

To make it hold everywhere, I ran QA continuously: technical tests, debugging sessions and cross-browser audits.

  • 2.1 s

average load time, down from 4.2 s

Moving four teams forward

For two years, I coordinated four teams (Marketing, IT, Content, UX/UI) in two-week sprints: more than 50 user stories, 12 releases shipped on time. On the quality side, more than 200 tests across about ten device types, and a mobile Core Web Vitals score that went from 65 to 92.

Before touching any code, I drew: more than twenty Figma mockups and prototypes to validate the experience before development.

Looking further ahead

Part of search now runs through AI. I rolled out a GEO strategy, meaning I worked on the site's visibility in generative search (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews), along with AI-assisted content workflows to produce faster.

Recurring reports are automated with N8N and Make: fewer manual steps, fewer errors.

In parallel: SofincoPro

Alongside, I also led, as project lead, the content redesign of pro.sofinco.fr, the B2B platform for professional partners.

A new information architecture designed for SEO, page templates, refreshed visuals. It meant coordinating design, content and IT, with no interruption of service.

The pro.sofinco.fr home page: the headline “Des solutions de financement sur mesure pour vos clients”, an introduction text, a “Nous contacter” button and a photo of a customer paying by card at a shop counter in a music store.

I also ran regular SEO audits and performance reviews on several other sites.

What I learned at Sofinco

On a site visited by more than 15 million people a year, decisions rest on measurements and tests. Above all, I learned to coordinate very different teams around a single backlog.

Chapter 05 — Lille Hockey Club, from 2020 to 2026

Off screen: field hockey.

Since 2020, there has been field hockey. I play, I coach and I referee, at Lille Hockey Club and for the French Field Hockey Federation. It's where I learned to lead.

On the bench

I coach players of all ages and all levels, from U6–U12 up to seniors. I hold two official coaching diplomas.

With the whistle

I referee at the highest French national levels, in the Women's Elite league and the Men's Nationale 1, and in international tournaments: the Junior Nations Cup.

End of an indoor match: the referee, in a neon-yellow polo, shakes hands with a player in a white number 11 jersey, surrounded by other players on a green court.

Leading under pressure

Coaching and refereeing are two ways of leading. I developed leadership, team management, decision-making and communication under pressure.

What the field teaches me

Deciding quickly, staying calm when things heat up, getting people to play together: I use the same reflexes when I coordinate a project team.

Chapter 06 — What I keep within reach

My toolbox.

My tools, sorted by use.

Steering the product

I'm a Product Owner: I run the backlog in Jira, write the user stories, set the roadmap and work in Scrum, in two-week sprints.

Building, and being found

I build in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with REST APIs when needed, on Jahia, Webflow, WordPress and Magento.

I also take care of what makes a site findable, fast and accessible: technical and on-page SEO, GEO, Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse. I know the WCAG standards and I can write accessible content; this site itself aims for level AA.

Measuring, testing, drawing

Google Analytics (GA4), ContentSquare, Eulerian and Hotjar to understand what visitors do. Cross-browser testing to check that everything holds. Figma and the Adobe suite to draw before building.

Automating, with AI

Claude Code, ChatGPT and Gemini to produce faster, GitHub Copilot to code, N8N and Make to automate whatever repeats.

Working with people

Coordinating teams, listening, adapting, solving problems before they grow: I work on these as much as on tools.

I work in French, my native language, and in English, at a professional level.

Chapter 07 — Recently settled, available right now

Today: Montréal.
